HERMITAGE PATRONS The UK patrons’ schemes are designed to bring together groups of people who love the Hermitage and understand the value of its contribution to world culture on the social, political, scholarly, aesthetic and educational level – and want to contribute to its support and development. There are three levels of patron: UK Friends at £700 a year are the first to see the new exhibitions in the Hermitage Rooms at Somerset House with pre-opening views; they also have the privilege of one evening and one breakfast view when the Rooms are closed to the public and to which they are encouraged to bring friends. International Patrons at £5,000 a year share the viewing privileges of the UK Friends and can, if they wish, receive complimentary tickets to two of the museum’s fundraising galas in the UK, USA or St. Petersburg Palace Patrons at £15,000 a year have the closest relationship to the museum itself. They receive a special welcome when visiting St. Petersburg and have access to the museum staff; they have the right to hold musical evenings in the Winter Palace and they can use the Hermitage Friends travel services for private tours. special group devoted exclusively to the support of the Hermitage
Rooms at Somerset House, has an annual membership of £5,000.
It is run by the Courtauld Institute of Art.

Membership through the UK also qualifies Friends to participate in special group travel. The Friends of the Hermitage in the UK belong to an international family of Friends organisations, coordinated by the Hermitage Friends Club in St. Petersburg.
